Mining & Handling

The Mining & Handling business area is one of Duro Felguera’s most established industrial capabilities, specializing in the design and execution of mineral processing plants and bulk material handling systems. With more than 50 years of experience and an international presence across Europe, Asia, the Americas and Africa, the company has developed its own technical know-how, enabling it to undertake highly complex projects with an integrated approach.

Its activity covers both process plants—for minerals such as gold, silver, iron, copper and graphite—and handling infrastructure, including port terminals, loading and unloading systems, storage yards and transport solutions by conveyor belts, rail and truck. This scope combines process engineering capabilities (crushing, grinding, classification, flotation and magnetic separation) with the design and supply of associated equipment and logistics systems.

Duro Felguera is involved in all project phases under EPC or EPCM schemes, from feasibility studies and basic engineering to detailed engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and, where applicable, operation and maintenance. This model allows for the optimization of technical design, capital and operating costs (CAPEX and OPEX), and ensures the reliability of the facilities.
