Last week, Duro Felguera shipped a washing tower from the port of El Musel to the Plock refinery (Poland), which has been manufactured at the company’s in Gijón. The washing tower, made of plated steel, is almost 100 metres long, with a diameter of over 6 metres and a weight of almost 800 tonnes.
This action is part of the Olefins Expansion project, which will maximise the petrochemical potential of the aforementioned refinery by adding new capacity to the existing facilities. One of its most important aspects is full compliance with the strictest environmental protection requirements, in accordance with European Union environmental regulations.
