Research & Development
Duro Felguera has been carrying out intense work in research, development and innovation practically since the company was founded over 160 years ago. This has consolidated it as one of the Spanish groups with the greatest international presence.
Duro Felguera's work in R&D&i is aimed at maintaining the company's competitiveness by means of a firm commitment to quality, with high technological value projects whose purpose is to obtain new products and processes. Among the most recent projects we could highlight both the new automatic NALÓN NCL side loading system, designed by DF Logistics Systems, and the new welding and finishing processes for large outside vessels developed by DF Calderería Pesada.
Duro Felguera is one of the founding members of the non-profit business association Polo del Acero (Steel Pole), whose mission is focused on promoting innovation, technological development and applied research in the field of the production and processing of steel.
